Manny Pacquiao reveals bold 2026 plans to rival Dana White in boxing promotion

Manny Pacquiao has revealed plans to expand his promotional company into the United States.

The business, which was first launched in 2006 as MP Promotions, has now been rebranded as Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) as it prepares to enter the US market.

Now 46, Pacquiao hopes to help a new wave of fighters break through in the same country where he became a global icon.

In a press release announcing his latest venture, Pacquiao explained how this move is part of his ongoing commitment to boxing.

Pacquiao expands his boxing promotion business into the US

Sean Gibbons, who has worked alongside Pacquiao for years, will take on the role of President at MPP.

“It is an honour to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” Pacquiao said.

“Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings. Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters.”

“Through talent-stacked events and an elite platform, we’ll showcase the rising stars and seasoned warriors ready to capture the world’s attention.”

Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing has recently signed a deal with Paramount ahead of its 2026 launch.

The UFC president has openly criticised the current state of professional boxing and says he intends to overhaul it entirely.

Pacquiao now finds himself up against established promoters like Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren, and Bob Arum as well as Dana White, who is looking to apply his UFC blueprint to boxing.

Manny Pacquiao eyes return to the ring with Rolly Romero in his sights

Manny Pacquiao returned to the ring in July, stepping out of retirement after four years to take on Mario Barrios.

The 46-year-old is now eyeing a new boxing record after honing in on an opponent for his next fight.

Speaking to World Boxing News, Gibbons made it clear that Pacquiao’s objective hasn’t changed. “The goal remains to break his own record, to make history, to win a welterweight title.”

“He wants to be the oldest person to do it at 47 years old. Rolly Romero has the WBA belt, so he is the target.”
