When you’re ungodly rich – like Mark Zuckerberg, worth $200 Billion, and coming in as the one of the wealthiest people on the planet – you have time (and the money) to pick up extracurriculars. For the Zuck, he’s dabbled in mixed martial arts and surfing, mostly e-foils.
As for the latter, Zuck has sent his $300 million superyacht to Tahiti for a surfing excursion.
According to Luxury Launches:
“It’s clear that the world’s third-richest man, worth $202 billion, would not have 12 days to spare from his busy schedule to indulge in surfing. Instead, he’d zip in James Bond-style on his $71 million Gulfstream G650ER private jet. At the same time, his shadow vessel, Wingman, worth $30 million, follows suit to the pristine destination.
“The Meta boss is indeed passionate about the sport, whether it’s donning a tuxedo with a flag in hand for Fourth of July celebrations or sporting Meta Ray-Ban glasses and hopping onto a surfboard six months after surgery, or sending his superyacht Launchpad on a lengthy journey, he does it all.”
The commentary on Zuck’s surfing skills may be a little generous; and that’s especially so when it comes to having a crack at one of the world’s deadliest waves, Chopes.
Most recently, Zuck posted a clip of himself downwind foiling. But will he send it over the ledge at Chopes? Stay tuned to find out.
