Alex Fitzpatrick has claimed the first DP World Tour title of his career after a superb victory at the Indian Open.
The 27-year-old produced a brilliant performance on Sunday, overturning a four-shot deficit to beat defending champion Eugenio Chacarra by two shots in New Delhi.
It continues an incredible run for the Fitzpatrick family, coming just a week after his brother Matt won the Valspar Championship on the PGA Tour.
And Matt has now shared his reaction to Alex’s breakthrough moment.
Matt Fitzpatrick took to social media to congratulate his younger brother after the win.
“Alex Fitzpatrick, a DP World Tour Champion. That’s pretty cool. Proud of you,” he tweeted.

The message carried extra significance given the history between the two.
When Matt won the US Open in 2022 — his first and only major to date — Alex posted an almost identical tribute.
“Matt Fitzpatrick, a Major Champion. That’s pretty cool. Proud of you.”
The symmetry of the two moments highlights the close bond between the brothers, who have now also made history.
They are the first siblings to win in successive weeks across the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, underlining just how special this period has been for the family.
Alex’s victory has also drawn wider praise, with journalist Dan Rapaport highlighting the significance of the achievement.
“So happy for Alex Fitzpatrick, who has been paving his own path in Europe,” Rapaport said.
“Won his first DP World Tour event a week after his brother Matt won the Valspar on the PGA Tour. It’s both of their dream to play together in a Ryder Cup…”

The win marks a major milestone for Alex, who has been steadily building his reputation on the DP World Tour.
While comparisons with his brother have been inevitable, performances like this show he is carving out his own path at the highest level.
With his first title now secured, attention will naturally turn to what comes next — and whether the dream of both brothers playing together at a Ryder Cup could soon become a reality.
