The TCU Horned Frogs (13-3, 2-1), after several weeks of receiving votes, made their first appearance of the season in both the AP Top 25 (No. 19) and Coaches Poll (No. 22). This comes after a week when the Frogs beat then-No. 9 Oklahoma 80-71 and then-No. 2 Houston 68-67.
Last week was a crazy week, especially for teams ranked in the Top 10 with losses by Nos. 1, 2 (twice), 3, 5, 6, 8, 9 (twice), and 10. UConn, last week's No. 4, escaped a loss and is now the No. 1 team in Week 11. North Carolina, last week's No. 7 and only other top-ten team not to lose, moved up to the top four.
The top five in the AP Top 25 are UConn, Purdue, Kansas, North Carolina, and Houston. The same teams comprise the top five in the Coaches Poll, but Kansas and North Carolina flipped.
The Big 12 has a conference record of eight teams in the AP and Coaches polls, accounting for almost one-third of the rankings and double the total of the next-closest league. The Big 12 leads the nation in ranked teams for the eighth consecutive week (since Nov. 27).
The Big 12 also has the lowest NET ranking at 48.8. The nearest competition is the Big Ten at 62.6
