Michael Jordan Used To Switch Cars With Teammates To Trick Fans

For most people --or at least most older fans, Michael Jordan is the greatest player in NBA history.

But even if you don't agree with that statement, it's undeniable that, at some point in his life, Michael Jordan was the most famous human being on Earth. That's not an overstatement.

Jordan was a worldwide sensation every single time he set foot out of the door. Even non-basketball fans knew who he was and everybody wanted to meet him. He left celebrities starstruck as if they were teenagers.

Needless to say, it was pretty difficult for him to get some privacy. People followed him around wherever he went, and he wasn't always looking forward to being harassed or greeted on the streets.

That's why Jordan had a bit of a trick when he wanted to go off the grid and have some alone time. 

According to former Chicago White Sox legend Ozzie Guillén, Jordan would switch cars with his teammates and friends to fool the fans and paparazzi every now and then.

In the La Vida Baseball podcast, the Venezuelan infielder talked about the one time Jordan -- who was playing for the White Sox' minor league team at the time, asked him to switch cars.

Guillén unknowingly agreed and made his way to a Colombian restaurant where someone greeted him by telling him "Oh come on! You’re not Michael Jordan!”.
