NBA legend Michael Jordan hasn't said a ton about his relationship with his son Marcus over the past few years. That being said, they did have a deep chat this week.
Marcus Jordan, who played college basketball at Central Florida, has been on a sobriety journey since his DUI arrest in February. He was also charged with cocaine possession and resisting arrest during this incident in Orange County, Florida.
On Friday night, Jordan's son revealed that he was devastated over the deaths of Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan. In fact, those tragic losses inspired him to reach out to his parents.
"Went THRU IT yesterday, realizing that 2 icons of my childhood passed this week," Jordan wrote. "Reached out to both my parents and my siblings, cuz life is too short and it's important to spend time with the people love."
Although it's unclear how those chats went, we'd have to imagine everything is OK considering he shared this information on Instagram.
Jordan's son also provided an update on his sobriety journey.
"Caught a SERIOUS case of the "[expletive] it" and almost had a drink... it's disheartening realizing how the "fun" has been stripped from social media. It used to be 'OK' to be weird and have opinions on social media, to learn from mistakes publicly," Jordan continued. "Now it's been so normalized to 'fit' a certain mold or into society. And people wonder why MFs keep their thoughts to themselves these days. It shouldn't have to be that way. And luckily for me, I have plenty of friends and family who raised me right and love me. But my heart breaks for people that aren't as fortunate."
We're certainly wishing Marcus all the best as he continues to work on himself.
