Tiger Woods has refused to rule out a sensational return to golf at The Masters this year, and Michael Kim is delighted.
Woods last played on the PGA Tour in 2024, having been hampered by various injuries since those five appearances.
But a remarkable return at The Masters is now on the cards after Woods confirmed he could play at Augusta National later this year.
The first major championship of the season returns to the calendar in early April, and is a tournament that Woods has won five times.
Woods’ fellow professional Kim is one of many to have reacted to the potential comeback, sharing his brief but important update on X.
When asked by the media at The Genesis Invitational if The Masters is off the table for him, Woods replied simply: “No”.
Kim accompanied the video with the message: “Heeyyyyy Tiger Woods, practice round Tuesday at Augusta? Lol. But seriously…”
A one-time champion on the PGA Tour, Kim finished T27th at The Masters at Augusta National in 2025.
All golf fans should be desperate for Woods to return at some stage, and not many would have envisaged that return coming at The Masters.
The 18-time major champion has a stunning history with the iconic event, which he first won all the way back in 1997.
Back-to-back titles in 2001 and 2002 followed, with the American adding further success in 2005 and 2019.
Another title seems out of the question right now, with fans more eager simply to see him back on a golf course as opposed to lifting trophies.
| Year | 54 holes | Score | Margin | Runner(s)-up |
| 1997 | 9 shot lead | −18 (70-66-65-69=270) | 12 strokes | Tom Kite |
| 2001 | 1 shot lead | −16 (70-66-68-68=272) | 2 strokes | David Duval |

| 2019 | 2 shot deficit | −13 (70-68-67-70=275) | 1 stroke | Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Xander Schauffele |
He was fit enough to compete in The Masters in 2024, where he finished 60th after rounds of 73, 72, 82 and 77.
However, that represented his only cut made in the season, with Woods missing the cut at the PGA Championship, US Open and The Open Championship.
The 82-time PGA Tour winner also played at The Genesis Invitational in the 2024 season, but was forced to withdraw early.
