Michigan football might not have a ton of commitments right now, but we are starting to see positive signs for the 2025 class and we got another on Thursday.

The Wolverines are set to host double-digit recruits ranked in the top 100 of the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry rankings. Michigan football is getting most of its top targets on campus and another, Douglas Utu, an elite O-line prospect from Bishop Gorman, confirmed his official visit according to Zach Libby of The Wolverine.

Elite O-line target will visit Michgan football

Utu visited Michigan football earlier this spring and the 6-foot-5, 3oo-pound specimen is ranked 65th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

As of now, the Wolverines and Alabama are the only programs to have official visits scheduled. Washington also completed one earlier this month. According to On3.com, Utu will visit Michigan football on May 31st. At least that’s when the official visit will start.

Nebraska is another team that could be in the mix for a visit. Utu took a trip to Lincoln this spring with some of his Bishop Gorman teammates so the Huskers are another team to watch.

According to the On3 prediction machine, Michigan football is a slight favorite at the moment. There haven’t been any crystal balls from 247 Sports or expert projections from On3.com, but the prediction machine gives U-M a 31-percent chance of landing Utu. Washington is second at 20 percent.

Utu is expected to visit the same weekend as Derek Meadows, who is rated as a five-star wideout according to On3. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds. Landing either would be massive and getting them to visit on the same weekend certainly can’t hurt.
