Former Marshall High School standout Bryce Lance made one of the craziest catches you will ever see on Saturday, and it sent North Dakota State into the FCS National Championship Game. Lance made a game-winning grab to lift the Bison to a 28-21 victory over South Dakota State in an FCS semifinal in Fargo, N.D.
Unreal. Absolutely unreal.

Late in the fourth quarter, Lance hauled in a 10-yard pass one-handed, which ultimately sealed the win for the Bison. In Saturday's semifinal against the rival Jackrabbits, Lance had six catches for 125 yards and three touchdowns, but his final score gave the Bison a 28-21 lead, which ended up being the final margin.
Bryce Lance is the younger brother of former first-round NFL draft pick Trey Lance. The Bison-Minnesota connection has a long history and it continued to shine through on Saturday.
Lance was an under-the-radar high school recruit in the class of 2021. He was not offered by any FBS programs, but he's blossomed into one of the best wide receivers at the FCS level. Lance has been North Dakota State's No. 1 wide receiver all year with 60 catches for 821 yards and 13 touchdowns, which are all team highs.
The Bison will play the winner of Montana State and South Dakota in the championship game as they look for their 10th FCS national title.
