Miss Terry could be driving Nick Saban out of retirement

Retirement hasn’t purely been rest and relaxation for Nick Saban.

Not only does he still serve as a special advisor to Alabama, college football, the White House (?) and host on College Gameday, but he’s also been put to work around the house.

And Miss Terry is a boss with high expectations.

When speaking at the Nick’s Kids Foundation on Tuesday, Saban joked that working for Miss Terry could be driving him out of retirement.

“Miss Terry is trying to drive me out of retirement,” Saban said according to AL.com. “I said on TV the other day that she made me run the sweeper, which is the first time I decided I wanted to get back into coaching. But I didn’t even do that right, because she said it’s called ‘running the vacuum’ in this day and age. So she’s pushing me.”

House work aside, speculation on Saban’s potential return to coaching had already been rampant after his former quarterback Greg McElroy reported that his sources believed he wasn’t done with the profession. But his reports were swiftly denied by Saban’s daughter Kristen.

For now, Saban will continue to clean up around his house and prepare for another season at the desk for College Gameday.
