Mississippi State baseball continues to add to its 2025 roster with the addition of Maddox Webb, a First-Team All-Southern Conference pitcher from The Citadel. Webb, a 6’2” right-hander from Summerville, South Carolina, brings valuable bullpen experience after appearing in 46 games over two seasons. In 2024, he posted a 4.04 ERA with a 4-1 record, five saves, and 61 strikeouts across 55.2 innings, earning All-SoCon recognition.

Webb chose Mississippi State over several suitors, citing the program’s facilities, staff, and his long-standing relationship with pitching coach Justin Parker as key factors. “My dream is to play professional baseball,” Webb said. “I felt like getting on with a program like Mississippi State would give me the best shot.”

His commitment came shortly after visiting Starkville, where he also met fellow transfer Ryder Woodson from NC State. Webb now joins a loaded pitching staff that includes returners Ryan McPherson, Charlie Foster, Ben Davis, and Dane Burns, as well as Virginia transfer Tomas Valincius.

"I am super excited," Webb said. "It's definitely a dream come true. I am definitely ready to get back to work.”

With a strong bullpen pedigree and SEC ambitions, Webb is expected to compete for a critical relief role under Parker’s guidance. His addition marks the seventh transfer portal pickup for Mississippi State this offseason as the Diamond Dawgs gear up for a deep postseason run.
