The 8-3 Navy Midshipmen and the 11-1 Army Black Knights are set to meet in the 125th playing of the historic college football rivalry on Saturday afternoon.

This rivalry contest features several historic traditions, including the pregame performance of the United States national anthem.

This year, the glee clubs from both service academies took centerfield at Northwest Stadium to deliver a chilling rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner."

The national anthem performance was followed by back-to-back flyovers. First, an Army flyover as the Black Knights took the field. Followed by a Navy flyover as the Midshipmen entered the arena.

Fans flooded social media with reactions to these beautiful pregame traditions.

"That’s how the national anthem is supposed to be sung. Well done. #ArmyNavy," one wrote.

"National Anthem still gives Me goosebumps. God Bless America," another said.

"Man, how can you watch the Army-Navy national anthem and not love this country?" another asked.

"You will not hear a better rendition of the national anthem than THAT..." another added.

The winner of this historic rivalry matchup will be awarded the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy. After the game, both service academy alma maters will be played while both teams stand at attention.

Navy leads the all-time rivalry series 62-55-7. Army has claimed victory in each of the last two matchups.
