Amid a busy summer for much of the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers were mostly quiet, save for a few draft selections.

But with the season creeping closer, pressure continues to build for the Cavaliers to make some kind of move: and Ben Simmons, who is on the outs with Philadelphia, is currently their primary target.

"The Cavs believe they have enough to assemble an enticing package, especially with recent first-rounders littering the roster, a top six pick coming in October and a future first from the Milwaukee Bucks.

Those picks, combined with one of the young guys and some salary filler, is a good start. It’s also why the Cavs have spent the first few years of the post-LeBron era stockpiling assets. In any potential trade discussion, the Cavs would cling tightest to Kevin Porter Jr."

Multiple reports have made it clear that the Sixers aren't going to trade Ben for cheap.

And while the Cavs have an abundance of assets to offer, they might have to give up their greatest one of all if they want to acquire Simmons.

At any rate, if the Cavs and Sixers were to make a trade, you can almost be certain it would involve Sexton. He may not go to Philadelphia, but he would probably go somewhere. Most believe any Simmons trade — Cavs or not — is likely to involve three or more teams.

22-year-old Collin Sexton is one of the brightest young talents in basketball. Last season, his third as a pro, he averaged 24.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game on 47% shooting.

Despite rumblings about some divisions in the locker room, he could be a star in the making.

The question is, is it worth it to give him up for Ben Simmons?

Ben's offensive limitations are well documented, but his defense, size, and playmaking ability are enough to open up new opportunities for the Cavaliers.

Needless to say, some big decisions have to be made in Cleveland, and only time will tell if they're willing to take the risk and pull the trigger on a deal.
