Boston Celtics Star Jayson Tatum is not impressed with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, as reported by Marca.com.
Tatum named A’ja Wilson his favorite WNBA player and didn’t have to think twice about when asked.
The young NBA champion was preparing for the NBA All-Star game as a part of the Eastern Conference’s team alongside the likes of Karl Anthony Townes, Tyler Herro, and Donovan Mitchell, when he was asked about women’s basketball and who he enjoys watching.
Tatum had no hesitation picking Wilson, the reigning MVP of the WNBA, as his favorite to watch.
Tatum told Simply Media on Feb. 15.
It’s not a case of a friend cheering on a friend, Wilson is an extraordinary player on the court.
In 2024, Wilson was once again voted unanimously for MVP as she led the Aces to the WNBA semifinals where they fell to the New York Liberty. During the summer, Wilson also earned her second gold medal.
Last season, Wilson averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
She also became the first player to score at least 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals in every single game in league history.
Wilson became the first player to score more than 1,000 points in a single WNBA season, which set a single season record.
