What can he bring to Nebraska football?

Tenney is a fast-moving tight end, and can make things happen in open space. He does a good job of releasing as soon as the ball is snapped, and immediately settles down in his routes. Agility and running after the catch are two of his biggest strengths, and in that way, he functions almost more like a wide receiver.

Something else noticeable about his game was his blocking. This especially is evident on run plays. He is able to use that agility to come over and create space within the gap. Nebraska football probably won’t feature the run game as much in the coming seasons, but there is little doubt that they will still run the ball.

He will be able to help Nebraska football due to that running ability, and playmaking ability. Dylan Raiola was recruiting him heavily throughout the recruitment process, and it appears that paid off. Now, Nebraska football has two viable tight ends for the future in Carter Nelson and Tenney. It’s also worth noting they have Keelan Smith in the class, who can also play the position.

2025 class rounding into shape

This is just another good commitment for a 2025 class that is shaping up to be extremely strong. The class itself ranks 35^th overall nationally per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. All things considered, that is not a bad spot to be in right now. Consider last summer when the Nebraska football program did most of their recruiting during the end of June on official visits.

This was a nice get for Nebraska, and a quick one at that. The 2025 class is far from complete, but it does have playmakers and a solid base to continue to build around.
