According to Corriere della Sera via FCInterNews, the 44-year-old has mentally recovered the squad after a disappointing season.

Indeed, last season was heartbreaking for the Nerazzurri.

Despite fighting for a treble in mid-April, they had to settle for the only trophyless season under Simone Inzaghi.

Furthermore, the highly rated coach left San Siro only days after Inter’s fiasco in the Champions League football.

Cristian Chivu Revives Inter Milan

Despite lacking experience in top-flight management, Cristian Chivu has proved capable of handling the pressure.

Moreover, the Romanian coach affirmed his credentials in his first Serie A match as Inter coach.

Interestingly, Petar Sucic was the only new addition in the starting line-up that humbled Torino 5-0 on Monday.

Therefore, Chivu’s impact was immediately evident, as the Nerazzurri played with energy and a renewed sense of purpose.

It’s still too early to talk about a renaissance, but Inter seem to be on the right path under Chivu.
