Neyland Stadium, the iconic home of the Tennessee Vols, received some major respect from CBS Sports this past week.
CBS Sports' Brad Crawford ranked the top 10 most intimidating college football stadiums for the upcoming season.
Crawford ranked Neyland Stadium at No. 2, behind only LSU's Tiger Stadium.
From CBS Sports: Tennessee set a college football noise record in 2022 near the end of the 52-49 win over Alabama with a level exceeding 125.4 decibels. By comparison, the jet engine of a F-22 Raptor hits 140 decibels from 80 feet away. Essentially, opposing players listen to what matches the sound of deafening aircraft for 60 minutes when playing the Vols. That's quite the advantage for the home team.
The Vols have been nearly unbeatable at home over the last three seasons.
Since the start of the 2022 season, Tennessee has a 20-1 record inside of Neyland Stadium.
The Volunteers' lone blemish at home over the last three seasons was a 38-10 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in 2023.
Tennessee has a chance in 2025 to go undefeated at home for a second straight season, but they'll have to beat Georgia for the first time since 2016 for that to happen.
