Nick Saban, like a lot of Alabama fans, was frustrated with the way the Crimson Tide looked against Florida State.
Saban shared he felt the disappointment from Alabama fans was in the way ‘Florida State dominated the line of scrimmage of both sides of the ball’ after the game.
The former Alabama head football coach shared why he was puzzled while watching the game as a guest on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“But I do think that there was something in that game that is tough to understand, in my opinion, in that Alabama looked great going down the field on the first drive,” Saban said. “Florida State gets a ball and goes right down the field and scores. And then the whole sort of psychological disposition of Alabama’s team changed. For what reason? I don’t know. Was it anxiety? Was it expectation?”
Alabama jumped out on the Seminoles 7-0 in the first quarter. Florida State stormed down the field on the following drive to tie the score at seven. One can make an argument Florida State took full control of the game at that point.
