When it comes to LSU quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan and recruiting signal callers throughout the country, it’s becoming more and more clear that he truly wants the very best in Baton Rouge. After most recently landing a commitment from class of 2025 five-star Bryce Underwood, the Tigers are now in the running for No. 1 class of 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon, who will reportedly visit campus later this summer.

No. 1 class of 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon is reportedly planning a trip to Baton Rouge this summer

Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is more than likely set up to be the future of LSU football. You’d be hard pressed to find any arguments in that department, but it’s important to remember that he won’t be in Baton Rouge forever.

Additionally, the talented Michigan-based signal caller hasn’t even stepped foot on campus, so it will be essential for the Tiger coaching staff to continue recruiting the position well into the future.

In turn, quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has been in on some of the best recruits in the entire class of 2026, most recently bringing five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon for a visit earlier this spring.

Now, just one month later, it seems like this could be a recruitment to keep a close eye on, as Anna Adams of 247Sports recently reported that the elite Greensboro, NC, product will take yet another trip to Baton Rouge later this summer on June 15.

Along with LSU, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound five-star will also take visits to at least four other schools, including Tennessee (June 1), Ohio State (June 10), Alabama (June 22) and Penn State (July 27).

Ranking No. 1 nationally, according to 247Sports, Brandon figures to see his recruitment take off in a major way over the next few years as he slowly works towards an eventual final decision. For now, things appear to be fairly wide open, meaning the Tigers have an excellent opportunity to leave an early impression.
