Among the long list of 2026 recruits offered by Notre Dame during the Pot of Gold event on Sunday, there may not be anyone more talented than Reidsville (N.C.) High School athlete Kendre Harrison. Already considered an elite recruit, Harrison could play a variety of positions on both sides of the football on the next level, although the Irish like him at tight end.

You won’t find many players more physically impressive than Harrison. He was a menace on both sides of the ball for Reidsville as a sophomore. On offense, he hauled in 62 receptions for 940 yards and 16 touchdowns. That’s an average of 15.2 yards per reception.

The 6-7, 235-pound athlete was also stellar on the defensive side of the football. He finished the 2023 season with 76 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Harrison also had another 30 quarterback hurries, eight pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

It should be no surprise that Harrison is highly thought of as a recruit. The North Carolina native already holds offers from Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Miami, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Auburn, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina, NC State, Arkansas, UCF, Duke and Wake Forest among others.

Harrison is considered a consensus four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform that has rated him so far. He ranks highest on 247Sports ranking, which currently have him pegged as the No. 2 overall player and No. 1 tight end in the 2026 recruiting class.
