Yesterday, Notre Dame wrapped up their second day of fall camp which means we are one step closer to them kicking off their season on August 31. The offense has been a hot topic of conversation this offseason with Mike Denbrock heading into his second year at the helm and some lofty expectations for some returning stars and impact transfers. Several offensive players and coaches stepped up to the podium after practice to address the media and discuss their offseason goals and expectations for this upcoming season.

Here are some of the quotes from today's press conference:
"It's the same things Marcus addressed everybody with yesterday," Denbrock explained. "How do they operate within the framework of the offensive scheme? Do they understand it? Do they know where their problems are? What can we do to help them? We need to make sure we're making good decisions with the ball and being a consistent guy day in and day out. Their teammates need to count on them to not only take care of the football but make good decisions with it.
Yesterday, you guys got a chance to watch practice and it was a little bumpy at times; that will happen, right? There's some feast or famine moments, especially early in camp, until you get your feet underneath you. They haven't had a whole lot of live snaps where they can experience some failure. It was fun yesterday to see what their response was. The next play in either young man's situation, he bounces right back and make an explosive play. That's what you want to see to have the ability and resiliency to be able to bounce back in tough situations."
"I'm coming in with the mindset of having nothing to lose," Raridon said. "I'm just going to go out there and play my game. I've had football stripped away from me and I'm aware that it can be taken away at any moment. I'm going to play every snap like it could be my last.
Kevin went through the same thing as me. We bonded over our injuries and we're both aware of the fact that football can be taken away from you at any moment. Our comradery and friendship has really grown; we've brought all the tight ends together and we've developed a really good friendship. We're a really connected position group and it makes it so much better to be at football with all of those guys."
"I'd say my accuracy," Minchey stated. "I feel like I can put the ball where it needs to go. Most of the time, my decision making; still working on that. Also, my ability to extend and make plays.
My foundation is sound. I don't let football as a whole define me so I won't let a single play define me either whether it's good or bad. If it's a good play I'll celebrate with my teammates but I won't let that blow my head up. If it's a bad play, I know that's not going to define me as a person so I think that's my foundation for not being too high or too low."
"I think one of my strengths is understanding where to go with the ball and knowing what the defense is doing," Carr stated. "I think I've grown a lot with that since my first year here. I think another strength is the relationship I have with my teammates. The quarterbacks and the coaches get all the glory but it's really the offensive line and the receivers who are out there making all the plays so just giving the credit to those guys.
I want to be great and I want to win here. I want to win this battle and then beat Miami. Those are the main things that drive me. I don't think my mentality has changed at all. I think it's about continuing to learn. I was a learner last year and this year I want to be the same thing. I'm going to continue getting better every day and come in here every day with high energy and work on my craft."
