What’s next for Novak Djokovic after Winter Olympics cameo?

Djokovic was scheduled to return to tennis at the Qatar Open in Doha.

He would have done so as the number-three seed, joining up with his biggest rivals, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

However, he has now withdrawn from the event due to ‘strong fatigue’.

The next tournament on the Serb’s calendar is Indian Wells, in California.

Djokovic struggled at Indian Wells in 2025, losing his opening match to Botic van de Zandschulp.

He last won the tournament a decade ago, and hasn’t reached the quarterfinals since.

Whether he can improve upon that record in 2026, remains to be seen.

The 2026 Indian Wells tournament begins on Monday, March 2.
