The team’s top-six hit leaders are all seniors this season, led by outfielder Ky McGary and infielder Jake Sanko. In the bullpen, Junior Cody Stroller has gone 4-0 in starts this season while putting up a 3.00 ERA.
O’Connor has outscored its opponents by almost 60 runs through 17 games.
The Eagles are coming off a season where they made it to the 6A conference semifinals but fell short to the eventual champion Hamilton Huskies.
According to MaxPreps, O’Connor currently ranks as the No. 9 team in Arizona.
They have continued a high level of play into this season and will look to keep that rolling into the 6A playoffs.
