We’ve seen a few announcements of college football TV networks and times in the last couple of days. We know when some matchups will be. Of course, the Ohio State football team is taking on Michigan at noon on November 30th as is tradition. That’s the only update we have from the Buckeyes’ schedule so far.

FOX has a lot of the best Big Ten matchups and they like to put them on at noon. This is the first year that CBS will have just Big Ten games. NBC also broadcasts night Big Ten games. We’ve seen a couple of NBC matchups announced. Based on how they’ve announced things so far, there’s a shot a big Ohio State game could be at night.

The Ohio State football team could take on Penn State at night

This year and next year are the final years that Ohio State is guaranteed to play Penn State. That was not one of the protected rivalries with the Big Ten expanding. We know how big night games against Penn State have been in the past. Ohio State does play at Penn State this season. Could they make that a night game?

Considering this will be the last time the Buckeyes travel to Happy Valley for a while, I think there’s a very good chance that they have to play a whiteout at night. If that ends up being the case, it’s going to be one of the hardest games on their schedule. It already is before knowing what the time of the game is.

More game times will be announced as the networks figure out what matchups they want. We’ll learn what time this game is soon enough. This isn’t one of the matchups that won’t get decided until a week in advance. This game is too big for that.
