The Ohio State Buckeyes have landed commitments from quite a few elite recruits for the 2026 recruiting class. But the program has yet to receive one from a quarterback.

On3's Steve Wiltfong predicted that won't be the case for long.

Wiltfong projected the Buckeyes to land a pledge from four-star quarterback Luke Fahey.

On3's Alex Gleitman and the website's Recruiting Prediction Machine agreed, predicting Fahey to the Buckeyes.

"I like where Ohio State stands right now, enough to have put an On3 RPM pick in for the 4-star talent to end up in Columbus," wrote Gleitman.

The four-star signal-caller was in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend. Fahey explained he had a great visit on campus and why he can see himself committing to Ohio State.

“I had a great time connecting with all the coaches and all the people there. They love football and they love Ohio State, and that makes playing football there very exciting," Fahey told Wiltfong.

“I think what excites me most is that I grew up a huge Buckeye fan and I’ve been watching them for the longest time and watched so many games so being there and being able to experience what they have to offer and all of the things they have there and finally being able to see it in person is a special deal," added the quarterback.

"Also, the coaching staff there is great and they have done a great job with the program, and I feel like, definitely now, they can go on a run winning multiple national championships.”

According to Fahey, the Indiana Hoosiers and Stanford Cardinal are the other top contenders for the quarterback.

Based on the 247Sports Composite rankings, Fahey is the No. 24 quarterback and No. 33 California prospect in the 2026 class. He is also the No. 356 overall prospect for 2026.
