The Oklahoma Sooners are on fire right now and feeling confident coming off of back-to-back victories over the Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide. Their wins have them squarely back in the driver's seat for the College Football Playoff, and their momentum on the field is propelling them off the field.
They have already pulled in one elite recruit following their win over Alabama, securing the commitment of elite 2027 cornerback Mikyal Davis out of Arizona. Now, they are poised to strike again by flipping away an elite offensive weapon away from a struggling Big Ten team.
Rivals Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has logged a prediction for the Sooners to flip 2026 blue-chip four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit away from the Wisconsin Badgers to add to their rebuilt class.

The Oklahoma Sooners have added plenty of wide receiver talent in the 2026 class, with Daniel Odom, Xavier Okwufulueze, Jahsier Rogers, and Brayden Allen all committed. However, I think their latest commitment in four-star Jayden Petit could be the best of all of them, and his senior numbers are backing that up.
At the end of his senior regular season, Petit has caught 54 passes for 1,224 yards and 22(!) touchdowns. He’s decimated the competition in Florida and looks like one of the best vertical threats in the class. Petit’s massive 6’4, 215-pound frame gives him a fantastic catch radius and he shows off his basketball background with elite body control and hands with the ball in the air with ease. On top of that, he’s a fluid threat with the ball in his hands and can pick up yards after the catch surprisingly well for a guy at 6’4.
It has been a long time since the Sooners have had a player like that, and it's clear why this staff has been after him for so long and have continued to make him a priority even after he committed to the Badgers over the summer. Pulling him into their class of 2026 just before the Early Signing Period is a coup, and it's one this staff and front office should feel good about for the next few years. That connection of Petit with quarterback Bowe Bentley could be a legitimate weapon in the coming seasons.
