On3 lists Kentucky basketball as one of ten teams that can win the National Championship
USA TODAY Sports

Kentucky was listed as one of ten teams that can win a National Championship this season, according to On3.

The Wildcats will play three teams this season that are also on this list by Jamie Shaw.

The Cats will face Kansas and Miami in non-conference play and then the Arkansas Razorbacks twice during SEC play.

I agree with Shaw that the mix of veteran leadership and scoring, plus a bunch of young, talented freshmen, lead me to believe this team can be special.

Antonio Reeves will be the key to this team, as well as DJ Wagner. If these two put up All-SEC type numbers during the 2023-24 season, I believe the Cats have a real shot to make a run to the Final Four.

Justin Edwards and Aaron Bradshaw playing well will also be critical for this team. Edwards is a player that many experts have being selected first in the 2024 NBA Draft.

This team's mix of NBA-level talent and older guys who have played a lot of college hoops will help Coach Cal run this team efficiently.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: The Kentucky Wildcats will be one of the best teams in college basketball this season.
