The Oregon Ducks baseball team found out on Sunday night their destination for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament. The NCAA announced that Oregon will be hosting a regional at PK Park . The Ducks had an incredible season, going 42-14 overall and 22-8 in Big Ten conference play. Oregon won the Big Ten regular season title in their first year as a member.
The Ducks had an early exit from the Big Ten baseball tournament, falling to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in pool play. Nebraska went on to win the Big Ten tournament championship over the UCLA Bruins.
2025 NCAA Tournament Regional Hosts Announced
The 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament host schools were announced on Sunday night. Oregon will be one of them. The other 15 teams hosting are the Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Clemson Tigers, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Oregon State Beavers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles, Tennessee Volunteers, UCLA Bruins, Vanderbilt Commodores , Ole Miss Rebels, and Florida State Seminoles.
Oregon Ducks Back In NCAA Tournament
The Oregon Ducks are headed to their fifth straight NCAA tournament, dating back to the 2021 season. This five-year run marks the most consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances in program history. In 2023 and 2024, the Ducks were on the doorstep of making their first College World Series, but lost in the Super Regionals Oral Roberts in 2023 and then Texas A&M in 2024.
The last time Oregon hosted a NCAA tournament game was in 2023 in the Super Regional against Oral Roberts. PK Park will be rocking once again this postseason. The full 2025 tournament bracket will be released on Monday.
Oregon's path to the College World Series will begin in their own backyard for the regional. The regional will consist of Oregon and three other schools that will be selected on Monday's selection show. These four teams will compete in a double elimination bracket, with the one winner coming out on top earning a spot in the Super Regional, making there 16 teams in the Super Regional.
The Super Regional is a best of three series between two teams that won their respective regional. The eight teams to come out of the Super Regional earn a spot in the College World Series. The College World Series has two different four-team double elimination brackets, with the winner of each playing each other in a championship best of three series.
A Memorable 2025 Season For Oregon Baseball
Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski was named Big Ten Coach of the Year and nine different Ducks were named to All-Big Ten teams. Grayson Grinsell, Seth Mattox, Jacob Walsh, Mason Neville, and Ryan Cooney were all named to the All-Big Ten First Team.
Jason Reitz, Maddox Molony, Anson Aroz, and Dominic Hellman were all named to the All-Big Ten Third Team.
Additionally, Burke-Lee Mabeus was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team and Ryan Cooney earned the Sportmanship Award.

Shedeur Sanders Trade Speculation Ramps Up After 'Perfect Practice'
During Monday's training camp practice, Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders reportedly completed 9-of-9 passes with two touchdowns. While there has been plenty of buzz about what that can do for his standing in the team's quarterback battle, former NFL offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger is convinced that the Browns may be building Sanders up for another reason. Ohrnberger suggested that not only could the defense be limited on purpose in terms of the plays that were being called in order to see how Sanders reacts, and also suggested the Browns want to show Sanders succeeding to increase his trade value. Although it'd be a bit surprising for a team to move on from a quarterback before seeing what he can do against real competition, the Browns' quarterback room is crowded. They have a veteran journeyman and Super Bowl champion in Joe Flacco, a former first-round pick in Kenny Pickett who they traded for and rookie Dillon Gabriel, who they drafted before Sanders in this year's draft. Cleveland's Front Office Must Decide How They Feel About Shedeur Sanders While the Browns risked virtually nothing by selecting Sanders with pick No. 144, owner Jimmy Haslam made it clear on Tuesday that drafting the son of Deion Sanders was general manager Andrew Berry's call. What Shedeur Sanders Brings to the Table Although Sanders fell to the fifth round, he was widely viewed as a first-round talent throughout the entire draft process. While he doesn't have a massive arm or tremendous athleticism, he is extremely cerebral and efficient. He left Colorado having broken over 100 school records, setting the FBS record for completion percentage in a career (71.8%) and is also easily the most marketable rookie in his class. In April, sports business insider Darren Rovell reported that Sanders had the "No. 1 selling jersey among all 2025 draft picks." So, if the Browns can't find a role for Sanders, chances are another team gladly will.
Maple Leafs Top Prospect Shatters Expectations at World Junior Showcase
The World Junior Summer Showcase is in full swing, and Maple Leafs top prospect Ben Danford is shattering expectations, truly proving how good of a player he can be. The Toronto Maple Leafs' defensive prospect, Ben Danford, is among the 44 players who were invited to Hockey Canada's World Juniors Summer Showcase. Hockey Canada finally unveiled the 44 prospects who will head to Minnesota for the showcase, after they held the roster release back while the organization dealt with several injuries, which begins Sunday and runs through August 2 in Minneapolis. Defensive prospect Ben Danford is the only Maple Leafs player invited to the annual showcase, where Canada's World Junior staff will get their first look at what their team might look like for the 2026 World Juniors, which will also take place in Minnesota in December. Danford is being called the best player at the World Juniors Summer Showcase Danford has been exceeding expectations, and one source revealed that he has been the best player at the World Junior Showcase so far. Steelers reporter shares big claim about how Aaron Rodgers has looked in training camp
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers spent the bulk of the spring as an unsigned free agent and, thus, only began officially practicing with Pittsburgh Steelers teammates during the team's three-day mandatory minicamp in June. During a Monday appearance on Pittsburgh radio station 102.5 WDVE, Steelers reporter Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette addressed how Rodgers looked during his first few training camp practices with the club. "His release is just astonishing to watch," Dulac said about Rodgers, as shared by Ross McCorkle of Steelers Depot. "Everybody knows about it, and when you see it in person, you see it every day in practice, you just marvel at it. To me, he's the greatest thrower of the football I have ever seen, even at 41 (years old). That flick of that wrist and that ball comes out, it's moving and it is something to see." Rodgers was with the New York Jets when he suffered a torn Achilles four offensive snaps into the 2023 regular-season opener. He was then slowed by a nagging hip issue, injuries to both his knees, a low ankle sprain and a serious hamstring problem as the 2024 Jets went 5-12. According to Pro Football Reference, Rodgers finished last season ranked 28th in the NFL among qualified players with a 48.0 adjusted QBR and 26th with a 43.9 percent passing success rate. That said, he was also eighth with 3,897 passing yards and tied for seventh with 28 passing touchdowns. Rodgers and Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson endured some struggles during training camp sessions last summer before the two allegedly "never saw eye-to-eye" during the season. It sounds like Pittsburgh fans should be encouraged by how Rodgers performed in recent practices. "That guy can get rid of the ball as quick as anybody," Dulac added. "He made three throws in seven-on-seven (drills) the other day that the cumulative total I bet couldn't have exceeded 2.1 seconds. And two of those were for touchdowns." Rodgers wants to finish his career "the right way" and help the Steelers notch at least their first playoff win since January 2017. As of Monday morning, DraftKings Sportsbook had Pittsburgh at -150 betting odds to miss the playoffs for the upcoming season.
New Report on Warriors-Kings Trade That Would Swap Jonathan Kuminga, DeMar DeRozan
Jonathan Kuminga has remained a free agent this offseason. There's no telling how his situation will resolve itself with the Golden State Warriors, but ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel has confirmed that the Sacramento Kings are among his interested suitors. It's unclear if the Warriors want to keep Kuminga around, but it's also clear that if he wants to join another team, they wouldn't want to lose him for nothing. One way the Warriors and Kings could resolve the Kuminga situation is by agreeing to a sign-and-trade that would swap Kuminga for players on the Kings roster. It would depend on who the Warriors would want in return for Kuminga. The Kings have some players to offer in exchange for the wing, like DeMar DeRozan or Devin Carter, so getting them would be something for Kuminga. However, even if the Warriors could entertain a sign-and-trade for the young wing, they're not interested in those two Kings. More than that, Sacramento may want Kuminga but only at a fair price. Sam Amick revealed the details during his appearance on Warriors Plus/Minus. "My understanding is the Warriors weren't interested in Carter or DeRozan," Amick said, which was aggregated by 95.7 The Game's Evan Giddings. "As of a couple weeks ago, the Kings weren't willing to pay Kuminga into the $20 million range (per year)." DeRozan is a six-time All-Star who will enter the second year of a three-year, $78.9 million contract. The Warriors are not above either of the NBA's tax aprons at the moment, while the Kings are hard-capped at the first apron.
