The Oregon Ducks are in the midst of a magical run during Dan Lanning's third year as the head coach in Eugene, with the No. 1 ranking in the nation and a clear path to the College Football Playoff and potential national championship berth.
That magical run took a hit earlier this month, when star wide receiver Tez Johnson suffered a shoulder injury that threatened to hold him out for the remainder of the season. Johnson went down with a shoulder injury on November 2 against the Michigan Wolverines, and was seen sporting a sling on his right arm in the weeks after.
Though there was speculation about when Johnson would return, it was clear that the Ducks missed their leading pass-catcher on offense.
They might not be missing him for much longer, though.
On Tuesday morning, Johnson posted a photo to his Instagram story with the captions "He'ssssssss!! Backkkkkkkkkk!!"

If Johnson’s post indeed signals his return, it could be earlier than anticipated. Initial estimates suggested he might be available for the Big Ten Championship on December 7 or the first round of the College Football Playoff later in December.
But if Johnson really is "back," then he could play in Oregon's next game on November 26 vs. the Washington Huskies after a bye week in Week 13.
Either way, it seems that this is huge news for the Ducks, who are getting their best wide receiver and leading pass-catcher back on the field for the stretch run of the season.
