The Oregon football team provided fans with a sneak peek at its special-edition Rose Bowl helmets on Monday, wearing them during a practice session that was partially open to the media.
The Ducks had previously shown off their latest uniforms on various social media platforms, but Monday's practice gave fans their first on-field look at the helmets, which featured a brand-new color combination and a small, Rose Bowl-related detail.

While Oregon has never worn a chrome-colored helmet with apple green highlights before, the rose-holding Duck logo on the front of the lid provided another unique detail.
The Ducks wore chrome helmets in two of their last three Rose Bowl appearances, debuting with an all-chrome look in 2012 before adding nightmare green wings for the 2020 contest. This year, they'll continue the tradition, adding another twist to an iconic look.
Oregon is currently 2-0 in Rose Bowl Games that have involved its chrome helmets.
On Wednesday, the top-seeded Ducks will look to make it 3-0 as they take on the eighth-seeded Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PST, and the game will air on ESPN.
