One of the silliest sports-related feuds that we've seen this year is journalist Pablo Torre going up against UNC head coach Bill Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
The two have had plenty of indirect back-and-forth stemming from some reports that Torre has done throughout the year. Last month Hudson declared that she was getting litigious and would be suing Torre. Though he hasn't said anything in an official capacity on a lawsuit by Hudson, Torre made a statement in a recent interview.
Speaking to Jen Rubin of The Contrarian, Torre said that he has not received any sort of legal notice, letter or correspondence of any kind originating from Hudson. He said that he has not been officially sued by Hudson and finds it funny that she has said she intends to.
“I can report that there has been no legal notice or letter or communique of any kind sent to me,” Torre said. “I have not been sued by Jordon Hudson despite her threatening to do so on Instagram last week, which is a fun sentence that I never get tired of saying out loud.”
The conflict began when Torre, on his podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out, aired reporting alleging that Hudson had been banned from the football facilities at UNC among other allegations. According to Torre, sources inside the program told him Hudson was no longer allowed in the building. Hudson and UNC publicly denied these claims. The university clarified she was “welcome to the facilities” and said she had no official role with the football program.
In November 2025, Hudson escalated the matter by posting on social media that she would be suing Torre for “defamatory” and “factually incorrect” reporting. She shared what she said were private messages from UNC staff confirming she never submitted the contested forms and that the incorrect year was a clerical error. She also posted a photo wearing a UNC all-access pass, seemingly mocking the reporting. Torre has stood by his reporting and even sarcastically invited Hudson to appear on his podcast.
But by the looks of things, there isn't any lawsuit in the works that's available for the public to see.
