Across the sport of basketball, there is a very good case to be made that the Indiana Fever is the team of the future. Headlined by Caitlin Clark, the team is expected to be the next big thing in the WNBA, and their brother team, the Indiana Pacers, also have a talented young guard in Tyrese Haliburton.
Both teams are owned by Pacers Sports & Entertainment and Herb Simon, and the team received a substantial investment from Kevin Hart, who is known for being an NBA superfan as well as ta op pop culture figure.
Hart originally hails from Philadelphia and is a fixture of NBA celebrity games and All-Star Weekend and has made guest appearances as a broadcaster. On Friday, it was announced that his entertainment company, Hartbeat, will be partnering with the Pacers and Fever.
"Hartbeat will serve as PS&E’s (Pacers Sports and Entertainment) official 'cultural curator,' creating live experiences and content for fans that blend basketball, music, comedy and culture," the Pacers and Fever announced in an official statement. "Through the partnership, Hartbeat will work closely with PS&E to bring a diverse range of entertainment opportunities to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and greater Indiana, including stand-up comedy, musical acts, half-time shows, festivals, scripted content and bespoke merchandise collaborations."
In addition to their work with the Pacers, Hartbeat owns a series of podcasts and other entertainment products and seems to be investing early in the Pacers and Fever as they look for long-term, sustained success.
