The Indiana Pacers trailed by double digits for much of their Game 2 matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. But in a late-game surge—reminiscent of their comeback in Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks—the Pacers cut the deficit to just two points with just over 10 seconds remaining.
Tyrese Haliburton, at the free-throw line for his second attempt, missed the shot but managed to secure his own rebound. He quickly dribbled out beyond the three-point arc and drilled a clutch game-winning three-pointer, leaving just 1.1 seconds on the clock and sealing a stunning 120–119 victory for Indiana.
The moment drew an instant reaction from Indiana Fever superstar—and Haliburton’s close friend—Caitlin Clark, who posted on social media: “TY!!!!!!!! WHAT A WIN !!!!!! @Pacers.”
The Pacers responded with a wordless but expressive string of emojis—clearly acknowledging the hype and love from their fellow Indiana star.

The Cavaliers were missing several key players—Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and De’Andre Hunter—but were carried by Donovan Mitchell, who poured in a game-high 48 points. Still, it wasn’t enough to put away a gritty Pacers team that’s determined to return to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second consecutive year.
Tyrese Haliburton finished the game with 19 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, marking his second game-winner of the NBA playoffs. However, it was Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner who led the scoring effort for Indiana, each putting up 23 points.
Indiana now heads home with a commanding 2–0 series lead after stealing both games on the road against the top-seeded Cavaliers. For Cleveland, the potential return of its injured stars in Game 3 could be the turning point of the series. Without a fully healthy roster, pulling off two road wins in Indiana will be an uphill battle.
