Panthers Promoting RB Anthony Tyus III

Carolina had an open roster spot after waiving OT Albert Reese.

Tyus, 23, was a three-star recruit and the 52nd-ranked running back in the 2021 recruiting class out of Portage, Michigan. He committed to Northwestern and transferred to Ohio University for his final season, where he earned All-MAC second-team honors.

He signed with the Lions as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 draft but was waived before camp and had a stint with the Seahawks. From there, Tyus signed with Carolina’s practice squad in October re-signed with the practice squad after being among final roster cuts this year.

Carolina then let Tyus go from the practice squad but brought him back shortly after.

In 2026, Tyus has appeared in two games for the Panthers and returned five kicks for 127 yards.
