The Philadelphia Eagles released their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday and made some other moves.
According to Philly insider Andrew DiCecco, the Birds placed rookie offensive tackle Myles Hinton on the injured reserve designated to return list. His injury was not specified, though he was limited in training camp with an ankle injury at one point.

Players like Hinton on injured reserve must sit out for a minimum of four games. Then, once the player is cleared to return, the Eagles have a 21-day practice window to activate him.
Hinton, the son of a former All-Pro tackle and fellow Michigan standout Chris Hinton, was selected No. 191st overall in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Eagles.
Hinton originally kicked off his college career at Stanford, where he started 16 games at right tackle in 2021 and 2022 before transferring to Michigan, where he started 15 more games, including 11 at left tackle and four at right tackle.
In his final season with the Wolverines and playing 256 pass blocking reps, Hinton allowed just 10 pressures and six QB hurries as well as three hits and a single sack, while committing just one penalty, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Eagles' opting to place Hinton on injured reserve frees up another roster spot and will also give them the option to bring him back once he is healthy.
