It’s top-school list season.
College basketball recruits all over the country tend to use this time between AAU ball in the summer and the high-school season beginning in the fall to take visits to college programs and narrow their recruiting lists.
Many prospects are currently doing so, including several players that Pitt is after.
Here are the lists that Pitt is currently on.
On Monday, Witherspoon included the Panthers in his top ten list just one week after receiving an offer from the program. Witherspoon is a 6-foot-4 guard.
He is down to the following schools: Pitt, Clemson, Butler, George Mason, Vanderbilt, Maryland, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.
Pitt, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Louisville, NC State, Cincinnati and Xavier are in the mix with Hannah, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard/wing prospect out of Wisconsin. He will take an official visit to Pitt on Oct. 19.
Pitt, Kansas, Michigan, Texas A&M, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Georgetown and Mississippi State are in the mix for Ingram. He is an ultra-athletic 6-foot-6 guard.
Evans, the Pittsburgh native, is considering Pitt, Mississippi State, Georgetown, TCU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Villanova, Tennessee, Illinois, and Xavier. On3’s Joe Tipton also reported that Evans has scheduled four new official visits: Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU, and Xavier. He has already taken an official trip to Pitt.
Thomas cut his list to the following schools: UConn, Kansas, Alabama, Pitt, Auburn, Kansas State, and Arkansas. The Pittsburgh native and five-star prospect now plays for Overtime Elite.
In addition to this group, the Panthers are also in on Derek Dixon and Isaiah Denis, among others. Dixon took an official visit to the program this past spring and recapped his time in the Steel City on The Pittsburgh Basketball Show here.
Denis will take an official visit to Pitt starting on Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.
