On Friday, the 2024 Paris Olympics will kick off with the opening ceremony.
Three athletes and one coach will be representing the University of Pittsburgh in the Olympic games. Check out which Panthers will be competing below.
Adiodun competed for the Nigerian Women’s National Team in the 2023 Fifa World Cup. In her first season at Pitt, Adiodun earned Third Team All-ACC honors and All-Freshman honors.
Waldrum is heading into his seventh season as the Pitt soccer head coach, and now takes the head role for the Nigerian women’s team in the Olympic games. They will kick off their Olympic slate on July 25, a day before the opening ceremony.

Pina currently attends Pitt, and is entering her junior season with the Panthers’ swimming program.
This will be her second olympics, as she competed at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. There, she finished 40th in the 100-meter breaststroke.

Walker earned All-Big East honors in all four seasons at Pitt, playing from 2005-08. She earned First Team honors in 2006 and 2007. Across all four years at Pitt, Walker averaged at least 13 points and nine rebounds per game.
