WWE RAW on Netflix was live, at a special start time, from the BP Pulse Arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom (U.K.). The crowd was red hot from the start, and this RAW on Netflix played as the “Go-Home” show for Sunday’s “Clash in Paris.”
Roman Reigns, the WWE’s biggest star, kicked off RAW on Netflix and was welcomed with a huge ovation from the U.K. crowd as they all chanted his name in harmonic fashion, which is something that has become a thing these days.
Reigns began his promo talking about how he has big plans for the remainder of the year and going into next. He goes into “not being the guy I used to be” and that Seth Rollins’ Vision took the Bloodline and his wiseman, Paul Heyman.
When Reigns mentioned Bronson Reed, Heyman interrupted Reigns’ promo with his “ladies & Gentlemen” intro. Heyman came out with Bronson Reed, the owner of the “shoe-afala,” as they were booed loudly from the Birmingham crowd. Heyman reminded everyone that it had been five years since he joined Reigns to create the Bloodline and take over the industry, but now he was standing in the middle of the ring by himself.
Heyman followed it by saying, “I miss you, my Tribal Chief,” but that he came out there to “disrespect his Tribal Chief.” Heyman was in full Paul E. Dangerously mode, where he was sarcastic, sneaky, and braggadocios.
Reed took the mic and went down the road of Samoan history, in which Reigns sarcastically answered, “Are you Samoan?” Everyone got a laugh out of it, and after Reigns had enough, he went after Reed outside of the ring. They both would eventually make it into the ring, and Reigns landed a Superman punch just before Reed could execute a splash from the top rope. Officials from the back would separate them, but it added to the anticipation for their match at this weekend’s “Clash in Paris” PLE.
Becky Lynch came out and was welcomed with a mixed reaction. Lynch mentioned getting her first WWE tryout in Birmingham 13 years ago. After Lynch was in full heel mode, Nikki Bella’s music hit, and she came out to confront Lynch in the ring. Bella challenged Lynch, but the intercontinental champion was quick to back track. Bella told Lynch, “You used to be a scared little girl… Charlotte Flair’s sidekick.” Lynch nailed the character of being intimidated, making everyone feel like Bella was getting the better of her. Bella later would say, “Has the man lost her b*lls?” Lynch agreed to the match but only at Clash in Paris.
There are NO FRIENDS in a Fatal 4-Way Match…

The match began in the back when Reigns attacked Reed and Breakker. Then LA Knight added to the attack of Breakker before taking him out into the arena and then into the ring. The match was full of power spots, which was a breath of fresh air from Knight as he was able to hang with Breakker in that fast-paced and powerful style. The crowd wasted no time in giving them “this is awesome” chants throughout the match because it truly was that.
Seth Rollins would come down to the ring but stay on the outside to distract Knight. While Knight chased after Rollins, he was speared by Breakker. After getting Knight in the ring, Breakker was able to spear him again and collect the clean victory. Afterward, Rollins began to beat on Knight, but then Jey Uso’s music hit, and the place popped. Uso ran into the ring and helped out Knight.
After Uso got some of his signature moves, Rollins and Breakker began to beat up on Uso. Then, after a few minutes, CM Punk’s music hit and he made his way to the ring. Breakker met him first, but Punk was able to get through him. It was finally Punk and Rollins in the middle of the ring duking it out. Breakker would then pull Rollins out of the ring. In the ring, Knight turned on Punk and was super kicked by Uso. Punk would then let his guard down and get super kicked by Uso as well leaving Uso by himself in the middle of the ring as the show closed.
Dragon Lee (LWO) vs. JD McDonaugh
Five minutes into the match, Finn Balor was kicked out from ringside by the referee. It was a good match, but had some sloppy spots where McDonaugh likely hurt himself. Dirty Dom came to help out, but AJ Styles stopped it. Lee would take advantage and execute his finisher to get the 1-2-3 victory.
Penta vs. Kofi Kingston
Kingston was able to secure the victory with the help of outside interference from Xavier Woods.
Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez
Rhea Ripley picks up the clean victory in a great match with Roxanne Perez. Afterwards, Raquel Rodriguez and Perez were beating up on Ripley, but then Iyo Sky came into the ring for the rescue. The clear message from this match was that Perez is more than ready to be a main eventer. If there was any doubt before the Ripley match, then those doubts were erased after their RAW match.
AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor
In what was a quick but effective match, AJ Styles picked up the clean victory over Finn Balor.
Broken Bayley?
The Bayley promo was excellent as she had her mental battle play out between the babyface Bayley, who had everyone hugging each other and heel Bayley. It felt like a mix between a Wyatt Six character and a Matt Hardy “broken” one. It will be really interesting to see where the WWE takes this story with Bayley.
