Reaction to Steelers Selecting Zach Frazier at 51st Overall
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With the 51st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected West Virginia center Zach Frazier. Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth announced the pick at the draft in Detroit.

For the first time since selecting David DeCastro and Mike Adams in 2012, the Steelers have selected an offensive lineman with their first two picks. Omar Khan and Andy Weidl have made the offensive line a top priority since entering their roles following the 2022 NFL Draft. They want to dominate up front and run the ball.

Frazier, who’s a Fairmont, W.V. native, has been heavily linked to the Steelers throughout the pre-draft process. He’ll now make the 75 mile trip north from Morgantown and try to continue the strong Steelers lineage of centers in Pittsburgh.

Several current and past Steelers players, analyst, reporters and celebrity fans commented on the Frazier pick.
