Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking at Rodrygo Goes and Nico Paz as alternative targets if they fail to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

According to Football Insider, the two players have been lined up as Plan B, but it will not be easy to get the two deals across the line.

Tottenham keen on Rodrygo and Nico Paz

Rodrygo is struggling for regular gametime at Real Madrid, and he has been linked with an exit.

The Spanish outfit is prepared to sell the player, demanding a substantial amount of money for his signature. Spurs will not want to pay over the odds, and therefore, that makes the deal extremely difficult for them to get across the line.

On the other hand, they are interested in Nico Paz from Como. However, Real Madrid have made it clear that they are willing to match any offer from Tottenham for the talented young midfielder. They want to bring their former Academy graduate back to the club after his explosive start to life in Italy. He has been outstanding for Como since joining the club last season.

Can Tottenham sign the right players?

It will be interesting to see how Tottenham deal with the double blow handed by the Spanish club. They need to add more creativity and control in the final third, and they need quality players. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are sidelined with injuries, and Tottenham need replacements. They have already allowed Son Heung-min to leave the club, and they are currently light in the attack.

Although they have started the season well, they need quality signings in order to sustain their current form. They will be hoping to have a successful season, and they need to plug the weaknesses in the side.
