RECRUITING: Elite Class of 2027 WR Adds Elite and Important Offer

When it comes to the elite recruits in the country, only certain offers become relevant. That is the situation with 2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman, who announced his latest offer from Ohio State yesterday.

Bowman, who plays his high school football at powerhouse Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, finished his sophomore season with 56 receptions for 1,023 yards and eight touchdowns. And at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, that has already resulted in upwards of 40 offers.

While the offers have piled up since the conclusion of his sophomore season, Bowman picked up his first offer from Ole Miss before ever playing a snap of high school football. Since then, it has been a steady flow, including from Missouri, Kentucky, Louisville, SMU, Tennessee, Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana, Miami-Florida, Maryland, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, North Carolina, Colorado, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and now Ohio State.

He has also been busy with visits over the last 15 months, with stops at Ole Miss, Tennessee, SMU, North Carolina, Oregon and most recently Ohio State. His visit to Columbus and performance at the Buckeyes’ camp earned him his offer.

The fact that he made the trip to Columbus to earn an offer while already holding offers from many of the elite programs in the country shows the serious interest he has in the program. And this is understandable due to the team’s success on the field, plus their constant development of NFL receivers.

This isn’t a recruiting battle that will likely end too soon, but whenever Bowman makes his selection, it is now guaranteed that the Buckeyes will be playing a major role throughout.
