Colleges coaches are always looking to take advantage of a new opportunity. With wide receiver Quay Guilford decommitting from Penn State in late February, Ohio State pounced last night by scheduling an official visit from the four-star.

Guilford’s announcement last night of his official visit to Ohio State from June 20-22nd continues a busy stretch for the Indiana receiver. After his decommitment he has added offers from Michigan, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Purdue and Vanderbilt. But the Buckeyes are his first scheduled official visit. On top of that, he is likely to be in Columbus next weekend for an unofficial visit. While Ohio State is in a good position right now, it wouldn’t be recruiting drama if Michigan also wasn’t involved. Aside from recently offering Guilford, an April visit to Ann Arbor is likely.
Guilford, 6-foot-2 and 170-pounds, totaled 35 receptions for 556 yards and three touchdowns in nine games during his junior season. At the time of his early December commitment to Penn State, he chose the Nittany Lions over Ohio State, Georgia and Indiana.
With three of the Big Ten powers already involved in Guilford's recruiting process, more drama is likely on the horizon.
