Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly set their sights on former Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Rossoneri made contact with Bologna yesterday to discuss a potential deal.
Inter refused to re-sign Giovanni Fabbian at the start of the summer.
Indeed, they had a chance to activate a buy-back clause in their agreement with Bologna.
However, they decided against it, letting the 22-year-old stay at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is eager to add to his midfield options before the transfer deadline.
Adrien Rabiot has emerged as Allegri’s top target, with Milan closely monitoring his situation at Marseille.
However, the Rossoneri yesterday opened talks with Bologna over Fabbian’s return to San Siro.
It would take around €15 million to convince Bologna to sell the Italian midfielder.
Meanwhile, Allegri’s men plan to raise funds from Yunus Musah’s imminent departure.
Indeed, the USMNT star is close to joining Atalanta, which would open space for Fabbian.
