The agents of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman are reportedly in talks with Atletico Madrid after his transfer soap opera with Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of the Corriere di Bergamo, via FCInterNews.

The soap opera between Inter Milan and Ademola Lookman dominated the summer transfer window for several weeks.

The Nerazzurri made two offers for the Nigerian. They went as high as €45 million with their bid.

However, Atalanta rejected both offers from Inter.

Reportedly, La Dea wanted a higher fee for Lookman, and would not even give Inter a counteroffer.

Agents Of Ademola Lookman In Talks With Atletico Madrid

In the meantime, Lookman himself has done everything he can to force the move to Inter through.

The 27-year-old has publicly demanded the transfer. And he also no-showed training.

Now, after the failure to get his desired move, Lookman is back in Bergamo, where he is training individually.

However, it remains to be seen whether he is still an Atalanta player when the transfer window ends.

According to the Corriere di Bergamo, Lookman’s representatives are in talks with Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros had shown an interest in signing him earlier in the summer.

The newspaper report, however, that Atletico would have to offer more than the €45 million that Inter did to sign Lookman.
