Report: Caleb Williams Reveals Where He Wants To Be Drafted In 2024
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Caleb Williams has one more year of college

Caleb Williams will likely be the most sought-after player in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner recently came out and said where he wants to be drafted. Williams is ineligible for this year’s draft. However, draft analysts speculated, if eligible, he’d be taken number one for the 2023 draft.

Williams has been nothing short of phenomenal in college. The USC quarterback almost willed the team to the College Football Playoff in head coach Lincoln Riley’s first season in Southern California. Williams threw for 4,537 yards passing last season. He recorded 42 touchdown passes to five interceptions in 14 games as a sophomore.

Where Williams wants to go

Those stats are giving Caleb Williams a lot of buzz this offseason. With nearly every NFL team fanbase hoping they can capture Williams next year, the quarterback was asked by Lanae Brady in People where he would like to be drafted in 2024. Williams appears to want to switch from the West Coast to East Coast:

“I like to be around younger coaches,” Williams says. “I’d probably go to the Dolphins. I also would be able to play with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki. The defense isn’t bad. That’s probably my number one spot.”

He did add that he would play anywhere, which might make more sense than Miami in 2024. The Dolphins currently have Tua Tagovailoa under center for the foreseeable future. Because the Dolphins are likely a playoff contender next postseason, they probably won’t be in a position to draft Williams. But one year can change anything in the NFL.
