Report – Fenerbahce & Borussia Monchengladbach Starlets Top Candidates To Replace Tomas Palacios At Inter Milan

Inter Milan are keeping close tabs on Borussia Monchengladbach starlet Fabio Chiarodia and Fenerbahce ace Yusuf Akcicek.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will try to sign a new defender at the tail-end of the transfer window.

Flop center-back Tomas Palacios is on the verge of joining Santos on a season-long loan.

Therefore, Inter have made room for a new central defender, though time is a crucial factor, with the deadline fast approaching.

Inter Milan Keen on Akcicek & Chiarodia

Yusuf Akcicek is a concrete target for the Nerazzurri, with talks with Fenerbahce already in advanced stages.

Indeed, the Turks have turned down Inter’s opening bid for the 19-year-old.

However, negotiations are ongoing as the Italian giants hope to strike a late agreement.

Meanwhile, Chiarodia has emerged as a fallback option.

The 20-year-old joined Gladbach in 2023 but has since only made 23 league appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.

As such, the former Werder Bremen youngster could be available on favorable terms.

Finally, Inter could offload Mehdi Taremi in the twilight of the transfer window, with three clubs vying for his signature.

Sassuolo, PSV Eindhoven, and Lille have inquired about the 33-year-old striker.
