The Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers have not played their final civil war football game.
One of the best rivalries in the Pac-12 will continue in 2024 and beyond when the Ducks head to the Big Ten, according to a report from columnist John Canzano on Wednesday.
Canzo goes on to report that the Ducks and Beavers will clash in Corvallis in week 3 of the 2024 season (Sept. 7), when Oregon is currently scheduled to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders at home in Eugene.
The rivalry series will return to Autzen Stadium in the 2025 season, where the Ducks took home their most recent 31-7 win over the Beavers in dominant fashion.
Texas Tech appears to have been one of the key pieces to the puzzle to make this all work, opting to shuffle one of their non conference games.
"Texas Tech helped, for example," Canzano wrote. "The Red Raiders were originally scheduled to play at Oregon on Sept. 7 next season. They’ll instead play at Washington State on that same date. WSU was previously scheduled to play on Sept. 7 at San Diego State. That game will move to a date later in the season.
Oregon's week 4 (Sept. 14) opponent, Boise State, will now travel to Eugene one week earlier to face the Ducks at home in Autzen Stadium.
In an ever-changing world of college football that has been dominated by conference realignment over the last couple of years, it looks like some of the West Coast/Pac-12 tradition that made Oregon Football special will be preserved.
