Midfielder Andy Diouf could make his Serie A debut for Inter Milan in today’s Serie A opening day clash with Torino.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan only just completed the signing of midfielder Andy Diouf a few days ago.

It was a whirlwind process that saw the Nerazzurri rapidly advance in talks last Thursday. By Friday, Diouf was already an Inter player.

And the Frenchman has not wasted any time settling in at his new club.

The Gazzetta report that Diouf has been quickly acclimating in training over the weekend.

Andy Diouf Could Make Serie A Debut In Inter Milan Vs Torino Serie A Clash

Clearly, Diouf is not a candidate to start for Inter against Torino this evening.

Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu will want a solid starting eleven for Inter’s first Serie A match of the season.

Therefore, the only summer signing in the lineup will be Petar Sucic.

However, Diouf could get the chance to play as a substitute later on in the match.

Chivu wants to get the 22-year-old on the pitch showing what he can add to Inter.

Therefore, if the chances are right, the Gazzetta report that there’s every chance that Diouf – who few would have imagined as an Inter player a week ago – will take to the pitch in a Nerazzurri shirt.
