Resident Evil Requiem: To Open Cold Storage, Steal the Lv.1 Wristband From The Dead

Grace may not have the strength to take down The Girl, but for some reason, she can break off a metal door wheel of the Cold Storage room. In Resident Evil Requiem, Grace has to play the role of organ transplant runner for a man-zombie in the Examination Room within Rhodes Hill Care Center. One of those organs, an artificial heart, is hanging in the Cold Storage room. Here’s how you can unlock it without its handle.

A Band Area (Lv. 1 Wristband)

With no way to reattach the broken wheel, you need to find a tool that can twist the door bolt. A wench is sitting in the Custodian’s Office, which is perfect for the job; however, it’s located in the West Wing. This part requires a Lv. 1 Wristband to open the doors. To find all the needed items, you need to get into the East Wing.

A Gem in the Hand is Worth A Parlor Door

The East Wing is just beyond the Parlor, but the door is locked and requires a hexagonal-shaped item to unlock it. The item for this door is a red gem tucked away in a Unicorn Trinket Box inside the Chairman’s Office. Once the Parlor door’s unlocked, head inside and search under a coffee table near the bar for a dismembered arm. The arm is holding the East Wing key card that will open up secure doors around the East Wing’s area.

Save, Snatch, and Run!

The next step is to travel to a stairway on the right side of the map that leads to the Lead Researcher’s Office. When you come to the staircase, go up to the second floor, and the Lead Researcher’s Office is straight ahead (where you can save your process). From the stairs, take the first right turn, and the Lv. 1 Wristband can be found on a dead researcher’s wrist laying in the corridor. Be warned! Once you take it off, the blobby experiment called Chunk will appear and chase after you.

Throw a Wrench Into the Plan (The Wrench)

With the Lv. 1 Wristband, enter the West Wing and add the map. From then on, follow the path towards the Custodian’s Office, and go to the writing desk. The wrench is lying in a green container right next to a typewriter. Grab it and head back to the Cold Storage door to use it in place of the broken wheel. Its a one-time use item, so there’ll be some room in your inventory afterwards.

The Requiem Heart To Hold (With Gloved Hands)

The Cold Storage room contains an artificial heart hanging on a hook. Pick it off the hook and take it to the Examination Room, where you can place it inside the man-zombie lying on the operating slab. Wash your hands before and after any operation, folks. You may be surrounded by the undead, but hygiene is still alive. If you’d already gotten the artificial lungs from the Organ Transport Box, have your gun or knife out because that experiment will pull a Frankenstein’s Monster move on you.
