Rob Gronkowski Makes Bold Claim About Steelers And AFC North Title: 'They Got Aaron Rodgers'

That mix of proven leadership at quarterback and a championship-caliber defense has already caught the attention of some of the biggest names in football. Rob Gronkowski, one of the best tight ends to ever play the game, believes the Steelers are primed to make noise in 2025. Gronkowski sees Rodgers’ presence as a game-changer for a team that has often relied on defense but struggled to find stability under center in recent years.

During an appearance on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams show on Tuesday, Gronkowski explained why he’s backing the Steelers to win the AFC North. He made it clear that in his eyes, Pittsburgh has done something unusual this offseason by going all in to chase a championship. With Rodgers leading the offense and Mike Tomlin’s defense as strong as ever, Gronkowski believes the Steelers have what it takes to outlast the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cleveland Browns in one of football’s toughest divisions.

"I believe it," Gronkowski said in regards to the Steelers winning the AFC North in the 2025 NFL season. "Baltimore is such a good team, but I had to pick a shake-up somewhere in at least one of those divisions out there. I decided with Aaron Rodgers there, he still has a lot left in the tank. I feel like he is kind of underrated a little bit just because of the stint in New York, but if you really look at it, he had great stats. It was just not a winning organization there, and when you go to a winning organization like the Pittsburgh Steelers… I think they are gonna do it."

Steelers General Manager Omar Khan has operated in a much different fashion this offseason and, honestly, throughout his tenure. Since he took over for Kevin Colbert, Khan has made it his mission to put his stamp on this team.

That’s exactly why Gronkowski believes the Steelers are going to soar over their win total in the 2025 NFL season. The win total is set at 8.5 wins.

"They are going over," Gronkowski said. "They got Aaron Rodgers. They also went all in as an organization. I have never seen the Pittsburgh Steelers say, 'Hey, let’s go for it this year and let’s win a Super Bowl.' Usually, they are always building up for it, you know, signing their own guys. They went out in free agency and made a lot of moves. I am going over 8.5 wins."

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Could Help Save Mike Tomlin

Rodgers managed to win only five games with the New York Jets in the 2024 season. It seems the NFL world has agreed, for the most part, that it doesn’t fall on Rodgers.

As he recovered from his Achilles injury, he started to look like himself again. The Steelers clearly believe he still has plenty left in the tank. If he does, then Tomlin may finally be able to end his playoff drought.

Steelers fans, how do you feel after hearing what Gronk thinks about this Pittsburgh team?
